This is no Fish Tale
This morning the alarm went off at 5:30 am to head out for our first family fishing trip. At 6:00 am we had arrived at Dunkin Donuts for coffee and munchkins to pick up a yummy breakfast to eat on the boat. At 6:30am the boat was in the water and off into Irondequoit Bay we went.
Well I am sure you can guess, that the first thing that Mason and Anna "NEEDED" to do was eat the donut holes. By the way, we bought 25 and Mason had 10 over the cousre of the 4 hour fishing trip.
For Anna, breakfast was followed by a brief rest on the floor of the boat.
The fishing was next up for the rest of us, and I caught the
first "green bass" or weed.
first "green bass" or weed.
We had been casting then we starting trolling and Kris say "I think I have a fish" as if it was no big deal. Well that quickly turned into a bigger deal as I was instructed to find the net. Just in case you are wondering I have never been out fishing on a boat like this before so I had NO idea what he wanted me to do. Kris took the net from me and gave me the rod with the fish on the line and togehter we got the fish in the boat.

Kris caugt this 28" Brown trout, weighing in at 9 Lbs.
I knew there were big fish in the lake, but I had never seen anyone catch one in the Bay, and I had never held one.
It was a great day to be out on the bay fishing with the family, we all had a great time!

Nice job honey! That was an awesome experience. I've caught a lot of fish on that boat over the years. But it was great that the first one caught since our return to Rochester was with you. Next time we go fishing, first hookup is yours to reel in. Thanks again for a great early Saturday!
