On the Erie Canal

To celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary Kris and I took a trip in our boat on the Erie Canal. Saturday, July 21st we dropped the kids off at my parent's house for an overnight.

At about 3pm we launched the boat just east of Lock 32 in Pittsford, nears the Pittsford Crew house. We rode through the Village of Pittsford, Town of Pittsford and the Village of Fairport, almost to Macedon and Lock 30.

Along the way we stopped for a wine picnic, we enjoyed some grilled chicken and shrimp, fresh guacamole, and salsa, and chips. For dessert we had chocolate covered strawberries.

On Sunday we took our friends David and Kelly with us to Church and then we headed to Champagne Brunch at Mario's Via Abruzzi to celebrate our anniversaries again. Our anniversary is July 18 and theirs is July 19. Wow, a LOT of GREAT food!
