Lake Placid...Where snot freezes.
For my Birthday this year Kris took the kids and I to
Lake Placid, NY. (last year we went to NYC).
We drove up north using my new Tom Tom GPS that Kris gave me - a few days early.
Along the way we stopped at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY. This was a really cool place, very hands on! We saw a real porcupine.
We were able to stay with Megan Parker, Kris's cousin, in Willmington, NY - the home of White Face Mountain.
On our first night in Lake Placid Kris, the kids and I took Megan and her boyfriend, Matt to dinner at Milano in Lake Placid - this was a great meal. After dinner Meg gave me a swedish massage in her new, in house therapy room. This was a nice treat after a long car ride.
The next morning we headed to the North Pole!
Yup, that is right the NORTH POLE!
The kids were so thrilled to be able to spend the day at Santa's Workshop.
Take a peak at a few of our pictures...

After a fun day with Santa and friends we spent some time walking around and shopping in Lake Placid, the best find was what we now call "Glittens"
that would be gloves that transform into mittens from the Gap Outlet. On Monday, December 8th, my actual birthday we headed home on an alternate route, via Old Forge, NY. As we passed through Old Forge we stopped for lunch at Subway for a $5 Foot Long...
We had a great trip, thank you Kris!
