Please Help Klem South win! Stream Team Project

Please Help Klem South win! Stream Team Project
Hi Everyone,
As many of your know, our first grade class is part of a school wide inquiry based learning initiative and partnered with Hewlett Packard to incorporate technology into the classroom. The children have so enjoyed learning about our environment, visiting our local stream, testing for pH levels, phosphate levels and water clarity. They have also taken time to observe the "creatures" or macros that live in the stream. They know terms such as "stone fly nymph, crawfish, scuds" and many more. It is amazing what they can learn at such a young age!
Our school's project has been chosen as one of the top 3 by ISTE and now people have the opportunity to vote on our project. Please click on the link below and vote for Klem South. If we win, our project will be presented at a conference in Washington DC in June.
It is pretty amazing to see what children under the age of 11 can do when they put their mind to it! They have amazing things to contribute!
Thanks for taking the time!

Happy St Patrick's Day

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Kris and I had an Irish meal at
Mulconry's Irish Pub and Restaurant

with friends on Sunday night! Yummy!

This is what we ate - there was beer too! ALL WAS AWESOME!

Bangers & Chips A smaller version of our bangers with French fries and Gravy

• Boxties • Traditional Irish potato pancake served as a side or stuffed with your favorites.

Steak Boxtie Marinated flank steak, char grilled tossed with mushrooms in a brandy peppercorn sauce

Shepherd’s Pie Ground beef baked in a casserole with peas, onions, and carrots topped with homemade mashed potatoes and browned in the oven

Oh and here is a saying that I saw while I was having my cup of java at Moonlight Creamery after dinner and a walk.
May you have the hindsight to know where you've been,
The foresight to know where you are going,
And the insight to know when you have gone too far.

The Love Dare

So as I mentioned last week our Church is doing a sermon series on Marriage.
So far I must say that I am loving it! Now before you start thinking that I am having marital problems...this is NOT the case.
Any relationship in life worth having takes effort, including marriage! I think that this series is a great opportunity to re-evaluate life, and our priorities -making sure that your spouse is at the top of your list!

As a part of the sermon series at Browncroft Community Church our Family Connections Group is having a 6 week Marriage Enrichment class.

FAMILY CONNECTIONS - Ministry for couples with young children through middle school.
Marriage Enrichment Class - (Open to everyone)
A 6 week class led by marriage therapist Joan Woody. Topics covered are relevant to all stages and states of marriage. Please Invite others.

Week 1: March 1
He Said/She Said: Appreciating the God-designed differences between men and women.
Week 2: March 8
Loving Your Spouse When They are Unlovely: God's love for us & how it enables us to love others.
Week 2: March 8
Staying Together When We are as Different as Salt and Pepper: Marriage as a lifelong covenant.
Week 4: March 22
Intruders that Compete with Marriage: Freeing ourselves from temptations that can destroy a marriage.
Week 5: March 29
Forgiveness in Marriage: Offering it and receiving it.
Week 6: April 5
Selfishness; We vs I: Unconditional Love.

In addition to going to Church and the Marriage Enrichment classes, I am reading The Love Dare by Stephen Kendrick & Alex Kendrick and Boundaries in Marriage by Henry Cloud & John Townsend. So far these two books are great!

Today in The Love Dare
Life is a marathon, not a sprint. This means you must balance, prioritize, and pace yourself.
How true! Have a great day everyone.

Hey everyone
The twins have arrived and they are looking healthy. Grace Ellen weighs in at 5 lb 10 oz and Aaron Watters weighs 7 lb 8 oz. They are healthy enough to be in the regular nursery as opposed to the NICU and if everything goes well, well all be home on Tuesday. There will be more pictures to come. Thanks for all your well wishing we really appreciate it.
Matt
